Podoplanin is a highly O-glycosylated integral membrane protein that is specifically expressed in the endothelium of lymphatic capillaries but not in the blood vasculature. In normal skin and kidney, Podoplanin colocalized with VEGFR-3/FLT4, another marker for lymphatic endothelial cells.Synonyms: Aggrus, GP36, Glycoprotein 36, PA2.26 antigen, PDPN, PSEC0003, PSEC0025, T1-alpha
