Spezifität: Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) andneurturin (NTN) are two structurally related, potent neurotrophic factors thatplay key roles in the control of neuron survival and differentiation. GFRa-2 isa member of the GDNF receptor family. It is a glycosylphosphatidyl-inositol(GPI)-linkedcell surface receptor for both GDNF and NTN, and mediates activation of the RETtyrosine kinase receptor.
