Western Blotting (WB), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation (IP)
Spezifität
Recognizes phosphoserine, peptidyl-phosphoserine, and serine-phosphorylated proteins. Does not cross react with ATP, phosphotyrosine, peptidyl phosphothreonine and serine. Slight cross reactivity with free phosphothreonine is observed. Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of intracellular proteins occurs in response to extracellular signals. In certain disease states such as cancer, abnormal protein phosphorylation can occur.
Usage: Western Blot: For the detection of phosphoproteins, serine phosphatase inhibitors such as 10 mM Sodium Fluoride should be added to the sample buffer. Milk or other casein-based blocking solutions are not recommended as casein is a phosphoprotein and its use can result in high background.
