Protein A Affinity Chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with peptides. The antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Immunogen
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser322 of human ATF2.
ELISA: 1/1,000. Dot Blot: 1/100-1/500. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

ATF2 is a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE), an octameric palindrome. The protein forms a homodimer or heterodimer with c-Jun and stimulates CRE-dependent transcription. The protein is also a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that specifically acetylates histones H2B and H4 in vitro, thus it may represent a class of sequence-specific factors that activate transcription by direct effects on chromatin components.Synonyms: ATF-2, Activating transcription factor 2, CRE-BP1, CREB-2, CREB2, CREBP1, Cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-2, Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 2, HB16, cAMP response element-binding protein CRE-BP1, cAMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-2
