Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 64000. Western blot: 0.11-0.3 μg/mL. Approx 70 kDa band observed in human epidermoidcarcinoma A431 lysates (calculated MW of 69.0 kDa according to NP_004387). Immunofluorescence: A customer has reported successful staining at a dilution of 1: 100 onHT-1080 cells with a Rhodamine conjugated secondary. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
DDX belongs to the family of DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp/Glu/Ala/Asp, which are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.Synonyms: DDX-5, DEAD box protein 5, G17P1, HELR, HLR1, Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX5, RNA helicase p68
