Hintergrund: GLYATL2 belongs to the glycine N-acyltransferase family. GLYATL2 is a mitochondrial acyltransferase which transfers the acyl group to the N-terminus of glycine. It can conjugate a multitude of substrates to form a variety of N-acylglycines.
