Background: Myeloid-associated differentiation marker (MYADM) is a member of the MAL family with the unique features of having eight transmembrane regions and a ubiquitous pattern of expression and of being found localized at the plasma membrane. MYADM could serve as a new marker for hematopoietic differentiation and is a target for diagnostic, prognostic and/or therapeutic interventions.
