Drosha is an RNAse III enzyme that is involved in the process of generating microRNA (miRNA). miRNA interacts with the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) to cleave mRNA and thus downregulate gene expression. Drosha is a double stranded RNAse and part of the Microprocessor complex. Other RNAse III enzymes include Dicer and Argonaute. Drosha initiates processing of the miRNA precursor (pri-miRNA) in the nucleus, which is then exported to the cytoplasm and further cleaved by Dicer into a mature miRNA. Drosha antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human samples.
