Goosecoid (Gsc) is a homeodomain transcription factor important for vertebrate development and organogenesis. First identified in Xenopus, it is expressed in the area of the Spemann organizer, a region within the embryo that control development and differentiation. Goosecoid regulates cell migration from the Spemann organizer and is overexpressed in a majority of human breast tumors. It is also involved in craniofacial and ribcage development. Goosecoid antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human samples.
