HIRA (DGCR1, TUP1) is a histone chaperone that preferentially places the variant Histone H3.3 in nucleosomes, replacing canonical Histone H3 during the cell cycle. HIRA is required for the periodic repression of histone gene transcription during the cell cycle and when complexed with ASF1a is involved in the formation of the senescence-associated heterochromatin foci. HIRA antibody (mAb) (Clone WC15) was raised in a Mouse host. It has been validated for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples.
