ZEB1 (Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1, NIL-2-A zinc finger protein Negative regulator of IL2, NIL-2-A, Transcription factor 8, TCF-8) is a POU domain DNA-binding transcriptional regulator that inhibits the expression of E-cadherin and other epithelial genes central to adhesion and epithelial polarity. ZEB1 induces an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by recruiting SMARCA4/BRG1. ZEB1 positively regulates neuronal differentiation and it represses RCOR1 transcription activation during neurogenesis. Defects in ZEB1 are the cause of posterior polymorphous corneal dystrophy type 3 (PPCD3). ZEB1 antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human samples.
