- Background: LRWD1 (Leucine-rich repeat and WD repeat-containing protein 1) contains three leucine-rich repeats and five WD repeats. The cellular function of LRWD1 has not been characterized, however LRWD1 has been identified as a phospho-protein whose phosphorylation is cell cycle regulated and induced upon DNA damage.
