    Hintergrund
Background: ORC6 (origin recognition complex, subunit six) is one of six subunits that make up the origin recognition complex (ORC). The ORC serves as a scaffold for proteins involved in the initiation of replication. In addition to playing an important role in DNA replication, ORC6 has also been shown to be important to cytokinesis and to associate with kinetochores during mitosis.
