The MCP proteins belong to the CC chemokine family, and signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated T cells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross reacts across species. MCP4 is also known as CCL13 and induces chemotaxis in monocytes, eosinophils, T lymphocytes, and basophils by binding cell surface G-protein linked chemokine receptors such as CCR2, CCR3 and CCR5. Synonyms: Monoclonal MCP4 antibody, Anti-MCP4 antibody, MCP-4 antibody, Monocyte Chemotactic antibody-4 antibody, CCL13 antibody, NCC-1 antibody.
