Fluoreszenz-aktivierte Zellsortierung (FACS) ist eine spezielle Art der Durchflusszytometrie. Sie sortiert ein heterogenes Gemisch biologischer Zellen in zwei oder mehr Behälter, jeweils eine Zelle nach der anderen, auf der Grundlage der spezifischen Lichtstreuungs- und Fluoreszenzeigenschaften jeder Zelle und der an sie gebundenen Antikörper.
