This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-NSUN2 Antibody. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
Optimal working dilution should be determined by the investigator.

Hintergrund
NSUN2 is a RNA methyltransferase that methylates tRNAs, and possibly RNA polymerase III transcripts. NSUN2 methylates cytosine to 5- methylcytosine (m5C) at positions 34 and 48 of intron-containing tRNA(Leu)(CAA) precursors, and at positions 48, 49 and 50 of tRNA(Gly)(GCC) precursors. It may act downstream of Myc to regulate epidermal cell growth and proliferation. And it is required for proper spindle assembly and chromosome segregation, independently of its methyltransferase activity.
