This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-KPNA4 antibody (Catalog #: ARP54676_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.

KPNA4
(Karyopherin (Importin) alpha 4 (KPNA4))
Hintergrund
The nuclear import of karyophilic proteins is directed by short amino acid sequences termed nuclear localization signals (NLSs). Karyopherins, or importins, are cytoplasmic proteins that recognize NLSs and dock NLS-containing proteins to the nuclear pore complex. KPNA4 shares the sequence similarity with Xenopus importin-alpha and Saccharomyces cerevisiae Srp1. This protein is found to interact with the NLSs of DNA helicase Q1 and SV40 T antigen. The nuclear import of karyophilic proteins is directed by short amino acid sequences termed nuclear localization signals (NLSs).
