- MEK1 double mutant human is a recombinant protein containing a polyhistidine tag expressed in Sf9. This double mutant protein contain alanine substitutions at S218A and S222A rendering it inactive. Analysis by SDS-PAGE resulted in a pattern consistent with purified MEK1 and was estimated to be greater than 95% pure.

Application Note: MEK1 mutant protein is suitable as a negative control protein for immunoassays using antibodies targeting the critical MEK1 phosphorylated S218 or S222 residues. For western blot use at 50 ng or less. For other assays concentration is user optimized.
